The Hoff Pays a Visit to Hotel Penina

The Hoff Enjoys a Relaxing Stay at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort

They say don't hassle The Hoff, and the man himself was clearly enjoying some hassle-free relaxation time when he came to Penina Hotel & Golf Resort. Hasselhoff was visiting the Algarve for the start of his very own European tour of live musical performances. During his time off from promoting and rehearsing, The Hoff made the most of the all that Penina has to offer, and took to Twitter multiple times to let his flowers know he was enjoying his stay.

The Hoff's European tour, called 'Celebrate the 80s and 90s', written by the man himself, is a three-hour show, where he's joined by some of the biggest stars of the two decades, including Rick Astley and Sam Fox. If that wasn't enough, Hasselhoff is joined by his trusty sidekick KITT, who he appeared alongside in the 80s TV show, 'Knight Rider'. Following on from the Portuguese leg of the tour, he'll then jet off to Spain, followed by Italy, Germany and many more locations around Europe.

David Hasselhoff, originally known for his acting and short-lived singing career has become something of a cult figure in recent years. He made his name by appearing in classic TV shows, such as Knight Rider and Baywatch, and his musical endeavours have earned him a following in certain parts of Europe, particularly in Germany. In fact, Hasselhoff even performed his German number-one single 'Looking for Freedom' on top of the Berlin Wall. In more recent times, he's become known for his unexpected cameos, including in 'Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story' and 'Keith Lemon: The Film'.

During his time at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort, Hasselhoff made the most of the five-star facilities on offer. At one point, he tweeted a picture to his loyal followers with a picture of himself playing a round of golf, which he captioned 'Loving the Golf here at Penina Hotel and Golf Resort'. He also tweeted a photo of himself dipping his feet in the ocean at Praia de Alvor, as well as a further photo of himself and a friend enjoying Penina's pool.

The former Baywatch star also found time to take in some other sights in the Algarve, and obviously still feels at home on the beach, as he posted multiple photos of different beaches along the Algarve coastline. He also posed for a photograph with the Mayor of Portimão, Isilda Gomes, at Acceleration 2014, a popular car and bike festival.
